THE TIMES US: ‘Radicals nearly destroyed us’: the moderate Democrat who wants Pelosi’s job

Speaking exclusively to The Times, the 55-year-old businesswoman and mother of two says she decided to run after growing frustrated with the other candidates. “There’s only three that are really viable candidates and they are all very, very afield of what I think most San Franciscans and most people in general want to see in politics. I don’t think they reflect the legacy that Nancy Pelosi has forged,” says Hurabiell, who worked as an intern for Pelosi in the 1990s. “I think we need common-sense leadership, not destabilising extremist ideologues.”
